Hello! My name is Jaime. It's nice to meet you.
I am originally from California, USA, but currently reside in Spain. I have been teaching English online to international students for over six years. My journey working in education began over eleven years ago in the classroom while living in South America. Working with young learners is my passion. It is in line with my belief that in order to improve this world for all, access to education is essential. These experiences living and working in different cultures have helped to create lasting bonds and connections with my students and their families.
Lessons are tailored to individual student needs, and I will scaffold classes to ensure comprehension. As a language learner myself, I understand the importance of immersive and task-based learning methods. Students are encouraged to improve speaking fluency by focusing on grammar and sentence structure. As students improve their reading and comprehension skills, they are motivated to express their own ideas in English through leveled conversation extensions. These are one-on-one classes with a native English speaker. The benefits are that we can make corrections in real time and allow the students to focus on the areas they need most.
Working with my students is the highlight of my day. I hope to meet you soon.

*There are a variety of options that will be adapted for each student. We will focus on speaking, listening, reading, comprehension, and grammar skills. I offer individualized attention to each student. Lessons will be held on the ClassIn Virtual Learning platform.
** Class previews are provided in pdf format before each class to help students prepare. Video class replay will be posted in your classroom immediately after class. This helps students review what they have learned. It is also a useful tool for parents to monitor their child's progress.
Homework is provided, but not manditory.
***All students receive a level specific digital workbook for at home study and practice. They also receive their own RAZ Plus reading room where they can read and listen to books for fun.
In addition to the listed curriculum, I also have educational workbooks that I use with advanced students including National Geographic Reading Explorer and Campus Pub. I also use many grammar worksheets to help students with extra practice.

Terms and Conditions
Below are the guidelines for scheduling, paying, and completing a class. All classes are 25 minutes long (we may stay a little longer if time allows to make sure instruction is complete). Payments must be received before scheduling classes. Classes can only be cancelled 24 hours in advance. Classes cancelled within 24 hours of start time will not be rescheduled (with exception for illness or emergency). Teacher will remain in class for the full 25 minute class time. If the student is late, only the remaining time will be used to teach. Classes will be held on the Classin Virtual Learning Platform. Refunds not available.
